Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: In October Sagicor partnered with the Newtown Fisherman’s Cooperative Society for their first-ever fishing tournament. The company sponsored the prize for the largest pelagic fish caught at the tournament which was held in observance of World Food Day 2022.
The President of the Cooperative indicated that all funds raised from the tournament, proposed to be an annual event, would go towards support for their community outreach programs which align perfectly with Sagicor’s vision to be “a great company, committed to improving the lives of the people in the communities in which we operate”.
