A grand Basketball event is being planned for Nevis, starting end of June.
Taro Merkman of St. Eustatius is coordinating a tournament dubbed ‘ROCK THE RIM-Survival of the Fittest’, which will involve youths under the age of 21 and may even be adjusted to youths under the age of 19.
The tournament will be held at the Grell Hull Stevens Netball Complex, from Friday 30th June to Sunday 2nd July.
Participating island teams will be: St. Eustatius, Saba, St. Maarten, St. Martin, Anguilla, St. Kitts and Nevis.
The tournament will be of a round-robin format, with the two top teams, playing in the finals.
ROCK THE RIM is set to launch its brand throughout the islands shortly and the aim of the tournament is to see the further development of the sport within the competing islands.
