(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- It has been reported that the former Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Liburd is recuperating at the Alexandra Hospital.
The retired officer was hospitalized after suffering from a stroke on Saturday, April 4, 2015.
One of his sons, Trevoy ‘Trevy’ Liburd stated on his facebook page that his father’s condition has improved and is getting better as the days go by. He also used the opportunity to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes.
Joseph Liburd was one of the few names mentioned to be Commissioner of Police in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis after former Commissioner CG Walwyn left the federation immediately after the newly elected ‘Unity Government’ took office in February and then resigned shortly after.
Many persons have expressed their support for Liburd to become Commissioner as persons are of the view that Liburd can be of great assistance to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis to reduce the level of crime in the twin-island Federation.
