Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 18, 2017, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period May 15 -16, 2017.
Arrested: Andre Jules of Upper Cayon was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of (5) five rounds of point .45mm ammunition that was committed on Friday 12th May 2017.
Arrested: Elvis Otto of Upper Cayon was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of of a Firearm and Possession of (5) five rounds of point .45mm ammunition that was committed on Friday 12th May 2017.
Arrested: Dijon Dore of Wade Street, Lower Cayon was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition offences which was committed on Friday 12th May 2017.
Arrested: Kevin Edwards of Upper Cayon was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition offences which was committed on Friday 12th May 2017 at Upper Cayon.
Arrested: Tarique Lopez of Upper Cayon was arrested, formally and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition offences which was committed on Friday 12th May 2017 at Upper Cayon.
Arrested: Javin Henry of Upper Cayon was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition offences which was committed on Friday 12th May 2017 at Upper Cayon,
Arrested: Dishon ”Dunsan” Richardson of Mansion was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm
Arrested: Alston Phillips of Hamilton was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Threatening Language
Arrested: Quincy Duncan of Caunt Street, Newtown for the offences of Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $15,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 3rd July, 2017.
Bailed: Kelvin Pemberton of Stapleton Village who was formally charged and cautioned for Obtaining Money under False Pretence was granted bail in the sum of $15,000 his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 3rd July 2017
Bailed: Daveron Flemming of Challengers Village who was charged with the offence of Obtaining Money by False Pretense was granted bail by in the sum of $15,000 for his the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 3rd July 2017. Bail was granted on the condition, the accused is to surrender all travel documents.
Bailed: Avion Huggins of Lower Thibou Avenue who was charged with the offences of Building Breaking and Larceny and Receiving was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 3rd July, 2017. Conditions: not to be found in the company of others accused in this incicdent and observe a curfew at their residence from 8 pm to 6am
Bailed: Dounel Gaskin of New Road Housing Project, who was charged with the offences of Building Breaking and Larceny and Receiving was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 3rd July, 2017. Conditions, not to be found in the company of others accused in this incident and observe a curfew at their residence from 8 pm to 6am.
Bailed: Marie Francis of Market Street, who was charged with the offences of Building Breaking and Larceny and Receiving was granted bail in the sum of of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 3rd July, 2017. Conditions, not to be found in the company of others accused in this incident and observe a curfew at their residence from 8 pm to 6am
Bailed: Leshawn Dore of Upper Cayon who was charged with the offences of Building Breaking and Larceny and Receiving was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 3rd July, 2017. Conditions, not to be found in the company of others accused in this incident and observe a curfew at their residence from 8 pm to 6am
Bailed: Ian Hull was granted bailed in the sum of $30,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Tuesday, 12th September, 2017.
COURT CONVICTIONS:
In the Matter at the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court presided by His Honour Renold Benjamin in the following cases were heard and disposed of:
– Diana Mason of Upper Market Street who was charged for the offence of Wounding pleaded not guilty at the trial and was found guilty and fined $3000.00EC to be paid within six (6) months or if in default serve eight (8) months imprisonment.
-Leo Christian who was charged with the offence of Simple Larceny (stealing one jean pant) out of Port Zante on Friday 24th February 2017, pleaded guilty and was fined $500.00EC to be paid within (5) five weeks or if in default serve(3) three months imprisonment.
In matters at the Charlestown Magistrate Court presided over by Her Honour Miss Yasmine Clarke and reported the following Convictions;
– Brian Liburd of Nisbett Settlement was convicted and fined $500.00 to be paid in one (1) month or if in default one (1) month imprisonment for driving without due care and attention.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
Search Warrants Executed: Police executed a number of search Warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Conaree Beach, Keys, New Roads, Farms Estate and Fiennes Ave (Mcknight). The Warrants were executed in search of illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal drugs and instrument that can be used in criminal activity.
Traffic Accidents: There were Four (4) accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts during the period of this report.
Citizen Safety: Police continue to conduct Vehicle Check Points and Stop and Searches along the island main road on St. Kitts and Nevis. Officers continue to conduct searches of abandoned properties and lots. The execution of search warrants continue as well. These activities are being conducted in support of anti-crime objectives to remove illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal drugs and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.
