Basseterre, St. Kitts, February, 16 2017, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period February 14th 2017
ARREST AND BAIL:
Arrested: Mary Challenger of St Paul’s was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply.
Arrested: Jedison Browne of St Paul’s was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply.
COURT CONVICTIONS:
In matters at the Charlestown Magistrate Court presided over by Her Honour Miss Yasmine Clarke the following conviction(s) were reported:
– Saeed Taylor of Bath Village was convicted for the offence of Driving without due and fined $800.00 E.C C to be paid in three (3) months or if in default serve one (1) month imprisonment care and attention.
– Miguel Rosario of Bath Village was convicted for the offence of Driving without due care and attention and fined $800.00 E.C.C to be paid in three (3) months or if in default serve seven (7) days hard labour. His driver’s license was also suspended for seven (7) days starting from 15-02-17 at 6pm.
In matters at the District ‘B’ Magistrate Court presided over by her honour Miss Donna Harris, Keith Thomas an adult of Dieppe Bay who was charged for making use of indecent language pleaded guilty and was sentenced to twenty (21) days in prison.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
Building Breaking and Larceny: Police is investigating a report of Building Breaking and Larceny which occurred at Columbian Expo which is located at Canyon Street, Basseterre. V/C reported that she secured the Columbian Expo at about 9.30pm on Monday February 13, 2017 and upon their return discovered it broken into at 9.00am on Tuesday February 14, 2017. A number of items were taken. The scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit. Suspects unknown. Further investigations to be conducted.
House Breaking and Larceny: Police is investigating a report of House Breaking and Larceny which occurred at East Park Range. The V/C revealed that the home was locked and secured about 7:40 am on February 13. Upon return about 12:15 pm and discovered that the house was broken into and a number of items were missing. The assailant ransacked the house and stole one pair of gold engraved earrings, one gold chain, one gold pendant of the letter “D” engraved and an amount of cash. The scene was processed the Crime Scene Unit. Further investigations will continue.
Abandoned Properties Search: Police continues to executed searches of abandoned properties, most recent searches were done in the following areas: Newtown and Main Street Newton Ground
Marijuana Plants Uprooted: Officers of the Defence Force returned from duty and reported that they uprooted 60 Marijuana plants ranging from seedlings to two (2) feet, In the Lime kiln.
Search Warrant Executed: Police executed a number of search warrants over the period of this report. The Warrants were executed in the following areas: Irish Town and Parson Village. They were in search of for drugs, guns and ammunition.
Traffic Accidents: There were five (5) accidents on the federation’s roadways (3) in St. Kitts and (2) in Nevis during the period of this report.
