REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 5, 2016, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period 30th November- December 4th 2016.
ARREST AND BAIL:
Arrested: Sylvester ‘Mun-cush’ Hodge of Fort Thomas Road was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Threatening Language and Battery committed on November 24th, 2016 at Durant Avenue.
Arrested/Bailed : Robin Mahase of Lower Monkey Hill was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving under the influence of alcohol and Leaving the scene of an accident. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 9th January, 2017.
Arrested/Bailed: T-Sean Hendricks of Ottleys was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 9th January, 2017 at 09:00 hrs in the forenoon.
Bailed: Neville Fahie of Newtown Ground was granted bail in the sum of $1000, 00 on his own recognizance to appear at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on January 9th 2017.
Bailed: Althus Whyte of George Street, New Town who was charged for Robbery was granted bail in the sum of $7000.00 Conditions: to be on curfew from 5 am to 6 pm at residence of Fitzroy Whyte at George Street and not to be found anywhere in College Street Ghaut. If travelling West, he must travel on the Bay Road or the bridge at the top of College Street but not between the bridge and the Bay Road. He is to appear in court on the 9th January, 2017 at the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court at 9:00 hrs in the forenoon.
COURT CONVICTIONS:
In matters at the at the Basseterre Magistrate Court in the matter COP vs Althus Whyte of Newton who was charged with the offences of Battery on Police, Threatening Language and Resisting Arrest which took place on July 24, 2016 at Carty Alley Newtown. The defendant was convicted on all charges and was placed on a bond to keep the peace for 1 year in the sum of $2000, should he be in breach of the bond the defendant to be brought back to court for sentencing.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
House Breaking and Larceny: Police is investigation a report of House Breaking and Larceny which occurred at Prickley Pear Alley. Inquires reveal that the V/C secured the premises at about at 8:00 am on December 2nd2016 upon return at about 5:45 pm discovered the house was broken into an the following items stolen: (1) 32 inch flat screen TCL TV valued at $148.00 United States Currency (USC) (1) laptop were missing from her bedroom. The scene was processed by Crime Scene Unit. A search was made of the surrounding areas for the following items but nothing was found. Inquiries will continue.
Burglary: Police is investigating a report of Burglary in the Ponds Pasture area. The V/C reported that the house was secured sometime after 9 pm on December 2nd 2016, and they awoke at about 12:07 am discovered an unknown person on the premises. The VC reported a sum amount of money was stolen. Inquiries will continue.
Search Warrant Executed: Police conducted a number of search warrants over the period of this report. The Warrants were executed in the following area: New Road Housing, King Street, St. Johnston Village, Ponds Extension, Phillips Village and Sandown Road
Traffic Accident: There were thirteen (13) Accidents on the federation’s roadways 10 in St. Kitts and (3) in Nevis during the period of this report
Citizen Safety: Police continue to conduct stop and searches, vehicular check points, searches of ferry terminals and marinas and mobile patrols around the Federation. These are being done in efforts to remove illegal firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities
