Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 18, 2016 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrest and or Convictions and other Activities from the records of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.

INVESTIGATION OF LARCENY:- LARCENY FROM UNATTENDED VEHICLE:- A resident of Scenic Street, Lower Monkey Hill (St. Peters) reported that at about 9.30pm February 16, he parked and secured vehicle H-1753 outside his home. When he checked on the vehicle February 17, at about 6.45am, he discovered that some unknown person(s) used a hard object to smash the right side window of the vehicle and gained entry into the bus. Having gained entry the intruder(s) stole an undisclosed amount of coins that was in the bus. The scene was processed by crime scene personnel. Investigation to continue.
INVESTIGATION OF LARCENY: LARCENY FROM A DWELLING HOUSE:- Police in Cayon are investigating a report of Larceny on Lover’s Lane in Cayon. Investigations revealed that the resident went to bed at about 11:15pm on February 16, and prior to doing so, secured her purse. Upon waking around 6:15 am on February 17, she made a check and found her that money and other items she had in her purse was missing. It appears that an unknown person(s) had entered the property.
LARCENY:- Police are investigating an incident of Larceny in the Challenger’s area on February 17. Investigations revealed, that a person from Challengers reported that they shipped two barrels of with various items to an individual in Challengers and some unknown person(s) stole the said barrels. Investigations further revealed, that both barrels were left outside the home in Challengers around 7.00pm on the night of February 16, and upon checking the following morning they were discovered missing. The yard was not fenced. There are no suspects and value for the items is unknown.
HOUSE BREAKING AND LARCENY:- A resident of Stoney Grove, Nevis called the Charlestown Police Station and reported that she is the caretaker of a house at Stoney grove. She reported that she last visited the house on February 16 and she left everything intact. When she returned to the house on February 17 she noticed that some person(s) had unlocked the lower bolt that is on the outside of a back window, then applied pressure to the glass window to effect entry into the house. The offenders having entered the house ransacked a number of dressing table drawers inside the bedrooms and stole a stereo set with two speakers from the living room. The scene was processed and some items of evidential value were retrieved. The investigation is ongoing.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS: There were three traffic accidents on the nation’s roads on February 17. One in Bird Rock, one in the vicinity of Cayon St. and West Bourne Ghaut, and the other in St. Peters. No serious injuries resulted from these accidents. Drivers are urged to use due attention when driving.
Police conducted a total of 41 Vehicular Check Points and or Stop and Searches in the 24 hours leading up to February 18. The check points and searches are a part of our ongoing activities of increased presence to ensure Citizen Safety by removing any found Illegal Firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes. The activity also enables Police interaction with community.
