REPORT OF ARREST, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 16, 2016 (RSCNPF):  Below is a report of Arrest and or Convictions from the records of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.

ARRESTS:

Damian Scott of Stapleton Village  was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply to another. The incident occurred in Buckleys at 1650 hrs on Monday, February 15, 2016. He was subsequently, Formally Charged And Cautioned for the Offences of possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply to another. Occurrence took place at about 1825 hrs at the Basseterre Police Station.

David Jarvis was arrested and charged on a “E” form for driving without due care and attention, driving an unlicensed vehicle and driving without insurance. He was issued with a copy of his “E” form and made no statement. Occurrence took place on Monday February 15, 2016  at about 10:00hrs at Basseterre Police Station.

CONVICTIONS: 

None reported.

 OTHER ACTIVITY: 

INVESTIGATION OF LARCENY:– At about 14:20hrs on 15th February, 2016 Mr. Anthony Wiltshire, Director of Sports called the Basseterre Police Station and reported a Larceny. Inquiries revealed that on Friday 12th February, 2016 at about 07:00 hrs Mr. Wingrove Smith the venue manager at Warner Park,  made a check at the southern end of Warner Park and observed the door to the main entrance of the VIP area opened. On further inspection of the VIP rooms it was observed that thirteen of the fourteen rooms were missing a microwave.  It was also reported that the thirteen microwaves were last used during the Nagico Leeward Island Cricket Tournament which ended on 17th January, 2016 and the rooms were cleaned and closed but not locked on 18th January, 2016. There were no signs of a breaking. Further inquiries to be carried out.

 

Police conducted a total of 24 Vehicular Check Points and or Stop and Searches in the 24 hours leading up to February 16.  The check points and searches were done in efforts to ensure Citizen Safety, by removing any found Illegal Firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes.
