Rain Continues To Affect LI Super 50

Rain continues to play havoc with the ongoing Leeward Islands super 50 series, being played in Antigua.  On Tuesday 22nd October, the match Nevis v Montserrat was totally rained out and the match between Anguilla and St. Kitts, managed to get to 12 overs before rain stopped play for keeps.  Anguilla was dicely placed on 28 for 2 from 12 overs.

Anguilla 4 matches 1 win; 1 loss; 2 no results; 4 points
Antigua & Barbuda 3 matches 1 win; 1 loss; 1 no result; 3 points
Nevis 3 matches 1 win; 1 loss; 1 no result 3 points
Montserrat 3 matches 0 wins; 1 loss; 2 no results; 2 points

The Leeward Islands Cricket Board has since informed, that all of the remaining matches which were scheduled for the Piggott’s Sports Complex have been moved, due to the waterlogged outfield conditions.

The Revised Fixtures for Round Five Matches and Semi-Final Matches and Final Matches for 2019, are as follows:

1. Wednesday 23rd October 2019. Nevis vs St.Kitts. Venue – All Saints.
2. Wednesday 23rd October 2019. Antigua & Barbuda vs Montserrat. Venue – Bethesda.

All Teams will now Rest on Thursday 24th October 2019

Friday 25th October 2019. Semi-Final (1) One Venue – Bethesda.
Friday 25th October 2019. Semi-Final (2) Two Venue – All Saints.

Saturday 26th October 2019.Finals Venue – All Saints.

Please note that all matches start at 9.00 am daily and the Leeward Islands Cricket Board will be having a closing ceremony right after the Finals in All Saints.
