Prime Minister the Honourable Dr Terrance Drew to Spearhead Geothermal Investment Talks in The Middle East; Deputy Prime Minister Hanley Assumes Acting Role

Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis (Press Secretary, PMO) – The Prime Minister’s Office wishes to inform the public that the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, will be working abroad from Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, until Friday, April 19th, 2024.

During this period, Prime Minister Drew has indicated that he will be meeting with several potential investors in the Middle East to discuss major geothermal investment projects aimed at furthering the sustainable development goals of the Federation.

The outcomes of these meetings in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai) have the potential to significantly advance the Federation’s sustainable island state agenda. Successful partnerships forged during this time can pave the way for the implementation of Saint Kitts and Nevis’ innovative geothermal projects and serve as a model for other small island states.

In his absence, Deputy Prime Minister the Honourable Dr. Geoffrey Hanley will assume the role of Acting Prime Minister. Dr. Hanley will ensure the smooth functioning of government affairs during this period.
