Charlestown, Nevis, August 16, 2019, (Nevispages.com) – At a press conference held at the Ocean Terrace Inn in Basseterre St. Kitts, on Thursday, August 15, 2019, the Deputy Prime Minister and Federal Minister of Education gave an overview of the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) results for 2019.
Minister Richards informed the nation that based on the preliminary results the national pass rate for CSEC 2019 is 80.37%.
There were 1661 candidates who wrote a total 5339 subjects. Of that amount, 1307 candidates wrote exams in St. Kitts and 354 candidates in Nevis.
Of the 5339 subject entries, 4271 entries from school candidates and 1068 from private candidates. There were 4291 subject passes, with 3565 passes from school candidates and 726 from private candidates.
