Charlestown, Nevis, June 20, 2018 – Police said Wednesday they are still trying to determine how a Leon Griffin received a gunshot wound on Monday June 18.
Police said they were informed around 9 p.m. that a man arrived at the Alexandra Hospital with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the foot.
“Upon arrival, police found Leon Griffin, known to be from Cayon (St. Kitts), receiving treatment for his injury. It is unclear exactly how Griffin came about his injury, but investigations so far have revealed that the incident occurred at Bath Village,” the police statement said.
Police said its Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and collected items of evidential value.
“Police investigations into the matter are ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Charlestown Police Station at 469-5391, 469-5392 or their nearest Police station,” the police statement said.
