Police Investigating Ocean Lawns Shooting

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 22, 2015 (RSCNPF): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is currently investigating a shooting incident in the Ocean Lawns, Camps area. The incident occurred about 12.45am on Tuesday (December 22).

Initial investigations have revealed, a 30 year old male was shot by two unknown assailants dressed in dark clothing while he was entering his home. A number of shots were fired at the victim with one striking him in the pelvic area. The victim was taken to the J. N. France General Hospital by the Emergency Medical Services for treatment.

“We appeal to anyone who may have seen anything activity in the Ocean Lawns area around the time of this incident to provide what they saw to the Police. The information you provide may just be the bit of information needed to help solve this incident. Our Forensics Unit has canvassed the scene but your assistance coupled with what we do will be difference in solving these crimes,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ian Queeley.

“We urge anyone with information that can assist the police in this crime, or any other crime to call any Police Station in the federation or Crime Stoppers, our confidential hotline, at 1-800-8477 to share information,” stressed ACP Queeley.
