President of the Nevis Amateur basketball Association (NABA), Miss Wanda parry, confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the final phases of the 2016 edition of the Malcolm Guishard Memorial league, will be played this weekend, at the Church Ground hard court.
The preliminary matches in the league concluded on Wednesday night, when CGRS won their first game, over Dynasty Ballers.
The placements of the team were as follows:
1st CG Massives
2nd Ole Skool
3rd Eagles
4th CGRS
5th Dynasty Ballers
Dynasty Ballers has therefore been left out of the upcoming playoffs
The schedule of matches for this weekend is as follows:
Saturday 3rd September—Match one
Ole Skool v Eagles at 7.00 pm and immediately after, CGRS takes on CG Massives
Sunday 4th September
The two losing teams from the playoffs, will battle for the third place spot, starting at 6.30 pm.
Immediately after, will be the championship game, when the two winners from Saturday night’s game will battle for championship honours.
The general public is being invited to witness a keen contest between the participating teams.
The closing ceremony will follow right after.
