Plane Crashes Off Herbert’s Beach

Charlestown-Nevis- Yesterday afternoon-Wednesday 20th September, a Piper single-engine plane en route from Antigua to St. Martin crashed in the vicinity of Herbert’s beach in Nevis.

The aircraft experienced engine trouble and tried landing at Vance Amory Int Airport but fell short into the sea.

According to reports,

The pilot from St. Martin and a student pilot from Anguilla were the only occupants, both sustaining minor injuries.

They managed to swim ashore. Efforts are underway to retrieve the plane from the water

It is understood that quite a number of locals showed up at Herbert’s beach to witness the rescue efforts
