A brief but significant ceremony jump started the much anticipated training camp hosted by the Over the Top Track Club, on Monday 10th December.
The ceremony took place at the venue for the camp, the prestigious Mondo track at Long Point.
Former Olympian and Owner/Manager of the club, Kurvin Wallace, indicated that he and the coaches on hand would be teaching the children basic skills, which will assist them in handling the track in a much better manner, come the next mini Olympics in 2019.
Also on hand were Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Kevin Barrett and Director of Sports, Mr. Jamir Claxton.
Both gentlemen, lauded the efforts of Mr. Wallace and his support team and expressed their full support to such development programs.
The camp is expected to climax on Friday 14th December, with an official closing ceremony.
