New Traffic Guidelines to Be Enforced in Charlestown

Charlestown-Nevis –A Press release from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police force, is indicating the following:

‘As of April 11th; the Traffic Department of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force hereby informs the public that vehicles exiting Happy Hill drive, will now turn left towards Marion Avenue, or towards the Maude Cross Preparatory School.

Vehicular traffic will no longer be allowed to turn right onto Jews Street.

Also, Featherbed Alley, will now become a one-way road, as vehicular traffic, will no longer be allowed to make a right turn at the junction, just before the Nevis Cooperative Credit Union.

Further, also effective April 11th the Traffic Department informs the public that the portion of Government Road, from Main Street to the junction of Jews Street in Charlestown, will become a one-way road, with traffic flowing in an easterly direction.

Traffic flowing from the top of Government road to Charlestown, will have to make a right turn onto Jews Street.

Vehicles travelling from Marion Avenue will now make a right turn towards the Maude Cross Preparatory School, while vehicles travelling from the Maude Cross Preparatory School, will now make a left turn onto Marion Avenue.’
