BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JULY 17TH 2013 (CUOPM) – Former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture in Nevis, Dr. Kelvin Daly, is President-elect of the St. Kitts-based Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC).
After a careful search, the Board of Governors of the tertiary-level institution selected Dr. Daly to succeed President Hermia Morton Anthony on completion of her tenure on August 31, 2013.
Dr. Daly, who is a citizen of the Federation residing on Nevis, has held leadership positions in education and the Ministry of Agriculture on Nevis. He is also a former Director of Agriculture in Nevis and Deputy Principal of the Charlestown Secondary School in Nevis. His recent post was Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture.
In addition to administrative experience, Dr. Daly brings strong academic credentials to the position having received his PhD and Masters of Science degrees from West Virginia University and his Bachelors of Science from State University of New York at Stony Brook.
The CFBC Board has expressed thanks to the outgoing President Morton Anthony for her productive leadership for the past two years and welcomes Dr. Daly to the position with the expectation of a good working relationship with him and the staff for continued productivity and advancement of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC).
