On Sunday, September 1st, many cricket fans from Nevis travelled by boat to St. Kitts to witness the match between the SKN Patriots and the St. Lucia Kings. They returned home late that night, feeling extremely disappointed. They had watched an incredible batting performance by their home team, including a record partnership between Evin Lewis (100) and Kyle Mayers (92), scoring 199 runs and setting a total score of 201 runs.
The match seemed to be an easy win as the Kings were struggling at 24 for 4. However, Tim Seifert (64), Bhanuka Rajapaska (68*), and David Wiese (34*) worked together to turn the game around in just 17.2 overs.
On the boat ride back, fans discussed how the Patriots lost the game and who should be replaced for the next match against Guyana on Wednesday night.
