Nevis Tourism Authority Press Release
The Saturday Times Recommends Climbing Nevis in Their Picks for 2014
London UK – February 18, 2014 – The Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA) is delighted to announce that the Caribbean Island of Nevis has been listed as number 4 in The Saturday Times’s article on the Top 50 Best Adventure Holidays.
The article, which lists the best Adventure Holidays across the world, chose Nevis above other Caribbean destinations for its wide range of activities, particularly climbing the challenging 985m to Nevis Peak.
The feature also highlights the guided walks that reveal the best of Nevis’s wildlife and scenery, and the bike tours that explore the historical former sugar cane plantations.
“We are thrilled to be included in the UK’s Saturday Times’s Adventure Holiday feature,” said Greg Phillip, Chief Executive Officer, Nevis Tourist Authority. “When people think of the Caribbean, they often think about beach holidays, but Nevis offers so much more for the active holidaymaker. We’re so pleased that the Saturday Times has unveiled some of the other delights of Nevis to its readers.”
In addition to the year-round hiking, biking and walking tours, Nevis also boasts a calendar of world-class sporting events that attract swimmers, triathletes, runners, hikers, fishing and cycling fans to visit throughout the year.
