Nevis Over 35’s To Defend Luther Kelly Trophy

The annual Luther Kelly over 35 tournament, which is normally played in St.Maarten, will take place in St. Kitts, this year.

Chief Organizer Dango Farrell, has indicated that due to the COVID-19 crisis, this year’s tournament, will not feature the usual teams from throughout the Leeward Islands.

Instead, the tournament will feature teams from St. Kitts and Nevis and one or two local teams, based in St. Kitts. One such proposed team is the YOUNG GUNS team, which is comprised of Guyanese nationals.

The tournament will take place over a period of two days, Saturday, October 24th and  Sunday, October 25th, with matches scheduled for the Conaree Cricket Grounds.

President of the Nevis Masters’ Association, Franklyn KUT Daniel, has confirmed Nevis’ participation in the tournament and indicated that his team intends to retain the trophy, they won last year.

The Nevis team will commence practice sessions at the ET Willet Park today at 4.30 p.m.

Practice sessions will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays, leading up to the tournament, with a possibility of practice matches to be played on weekends.
