Round five of the Ministry of Education and Department of Youth and Sports Primary Schools’ Football tournament, took place at the ET Willet Park on Friday 9th November.
One of the more anticipated match-ups, saw the VOJN Primary School, pitting skills against the Nevis Academy.
It was a hard fought game and VOJN had a few golden opportunities, but the defence for the Nevis Academy, led in no small way by Anthony Archibald, remained firm.
The VOJN’s defence also looked very sturdy, until Isaiah Parris, capitalized on a defensive error and bombed one home.
The score line remained a definitive 1 goal to nil, by the referee’s final whistle, in favour of an obviously overjoyed Nevis Academy team and their huge fan base.
