Netball is well and truly back!
St. Kitts and Nevis Netball Association have commenced hosting a series of matches, between teams for St. Kitts and Nevis, as a means of getting well-needed practice for the national squad and providing a means of entertainment for the general public.
On Tuesday 30th November, the series of matches moved to the Brown hill hard court in Nevis and quite a number of spectators were in attendance.
One match was played that evening, as Shamrocks out of St. Kitts, engaged Pacesetters out of Nevis.
During the first half, it was a one-sided affair, as the Shamrocks team totally dominated their counterparts from Nevis.
At one point, the score was 25 to 11, in favour of the visiting team.
However, in the third quarter, Pacesetters looked like a totally different team and the Shamrocks team wilted somewhat under the pressure.
By the end of the third quarter, the home team had juiced up the scoreline quite considerably.
It was 36 to Shamrocks and 26 to Pacesetters.
As the spectators settled in for what was anticipated to be an exciting final quarter, the rain came and spoiled all of the fun…
