The Ministry of Sports on Nevis is all set to launch its Rising Stars Netball Academy today, Wednesday, September 25th, at 4:15 pm. The launch will take place at the Grell Hull-Stevens Netball Complex.
The Department has stated that significant time and thought has been put into creating a sustainable plan for youth netball.
A critical pillar in our development plan is increased awareness and participation in the game at the primary school level. We are on the verge of launching step one in our action plan, the Nevis Rising Stars Netball Academy.
We aim to enrol 100 young ladies between the ages of 8-11 in this academy. It is anticipated that the launch will result in an exciting Netball tournament between the primary schools on Nevis.
