The Nevis Island Administration strongly condemns the recent spate of gun violence and other serious crimes which have caused great concern and suffering among the people of Nevis.
The Nevis Island Administration specifically denounces the attack on a female
student of the Medical University of the Americas (MUA) in her apartment and call on all the people of Nevis to condemn in the strongest possible terms, this criminal activity and all such violence and crime, which have the potential to undermine the peace and security in Nevis.
The Administration also calls on all citizens and residents to give their full cooperation to the police who are undertaking serious investigation of these recent crimes to bring the perpetrators to justice.
We further encourage all citizens and residents to become part of the fight against crime and violence as it is the duty of each and every one of us to do all in our power to preserve peace, security and the safety of our citizens and our visitors in this our island paradise.
