Roneisha’s Bio
Ambitious, talented, vivacious and out-going are some of the adjectives which describes Roneisha James. A well-rounded performing artiste in the disciplines of drama, dance, singing and writing; and an aspiring entertainment professional, Roneisha is passionate about developing her talents and pursuing a career in this industry.
With accolades in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Speech Festival, performance development through Cathy Levy Players, ASHE Performing Arts Company, and training at Edna Manley School of the Visual and Performing Arts, Roneisha has matured into a prolific performer. As early as age five (5) Roneisha took to the stage and has not looked back since then. A past member of the Wolmer’s Dance Troupe, choir and drama club she lit the stage with every opportunity to shine. At age seven (7), she developed the skill of writing/ composing which landed her winner of the Peat Marwick National Poetry Competition. While attending high school Roneisha went on to write for the Jamaica Observers Teen-Age Magazine.
A proud graduate of the University of Technology Roneisha currently adds to her resume a Bachelor of Science Degree in Events Management graduating with honours. During her tenor at University, she has held pageant titles for both the ‘Miss Jamaica Emancipation Pageant’ and the ‘Miss University of Technology Pageant’. Roneisha also has experience in media as host for two popular television series in Jamaica.
Roneisha states, “I am proud to have the opportunity to represent my country Jamaica”. Her philosophy, “Whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability”. Currently, Roneisha is pursuing a Masters Degree in Marketing. Her ultimate goal is to become successful entrepreneur in her field of study and to produce and host her own talk show.
Hobbies: Surfing the net, dancing, listening to music.
