Basseterre: St. Kitts: Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, the Minister of Education, offered his heartfelt commendation to the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) for its exceptional dedication and unwavering commitment to the Caribbean region.
The accolades were expressed on Thursday, August 24, during the Official Release Ceremony for the May/June 2023 Examination Results, hosted at the St. Kitts Marriott Ballroom.
“Undoubtedly, CXC has come a long way since then and is batting well. 50 and not out! Dr. Wesley, on behalf of the Ministry of Education I extend congratulations to you and the staff at CXC on reaching this very significant milestone, not just for the mere fact that you reached 50 but because you have achieved your goal of regional cooperation.
The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) has developed into a household name for students in the English and Dutch-speaking Caribbean.
This examination board not only carries weight in our region but is recognized internationally”, extolled Minister Hanley.
Established in 1972, CXC serves as a pivotal regional entity, championing academic integration among the members of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
Its mission is executed through the provision of standardized examinations for students enrolled at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels across its member states, encompassing both the English and Dutch Caribbean countries.
