Mini Series Climaxes on Sunday

The mini-series of exhibition matches, between the Rawlins team and the Guyanese, is set to climax this coming Sunday at the Hardtimes Recreation Ground.

This revelation was made by chief organizer Michael WISE Herbert.  He was speaking on Thursday, as he showed off the brand new trophy that has been received from an unnamed sponsor.
So far, the Guyanese have won the two matches played and the one scheduled for this Sunday, 8th September, is considered to be ‘the big one baby!’

Both teams are expected to be at full strength and so the crowd is being promised a really exciting tussle between the teams.

Prior to the start of the big match on Sunday, a female team will engage the Lemuel Pemberton’s development team, in what also promises to be a great tussle.  The young boys will not want to be beaten by a group of women and the ladies are intent on showing that weeks of practice, lead to success.

Going forward, Herbert further indicated that action will continue at the grounds, every Sunday, leading up to the start of the tape ball tournament to be hosted by the Sports Department, which is slated to commence on Sunday 29th September
