CHARLESTOWN,Nevis,May 5, 2014The state of affairs in St. Kitts and Nevis especially in regard to the youth crisis is moving young Christian leaders to organize prayer rallies this month, according to the Coordinator of the prayer rallies, Michelle Forbes.
In St. Kitts the prayer conference opens on May 21 at Peoples Evangelistic Centre, on May 22 the prayer conference will be held at the Word of Life New Testament Church of God, and on May 23, an all night prayer meeting will be held at Zion Moravian Church.
Two weeks ago, Mrs Forbes, her husband and two friends organized a jamble sale whose proceeds will go towards the hosting of the prayer rallies to be held in St. Kitts and Nevis. “We are praying because of the state of our nation,” Mrs Forbes said and singled out the youth crisis. She called on well wishers to contribute towards the success of the prayer conference.
“Prayer rescued me when I was a teenager. I was born in Jamaica. When I was in third form I made up my mind to quit going to church. God used The Prayer Action Fellowship to hook me. One day I went to their meeting once and I was hooked. My hope and desire is that what happened to me happens to young people in St. Kitts and Nevis,” Mrs Forbes said.
Speakers at the prayer meetings are Tresia Daniel, Francine Delande, Evan Sherma Maynard, Min. Shelley Nisbett, Rev Alister Jackson and Rev. Linden Browne.
