Charlestown, Nevis – Headmistress at the Nevis Academy, Dr. Andrea Bussue, has announced yet another innovative exercise for her school.
Tuesday, October 1, has been dubbed ‘Literacy day’.
This time around, the emphasis has been placed on attracting females to lead out in the exercise.
The call goes out to grandmothers, godmothers, and aunts, to play a leading role in volunteering to read stories to students in the various classes; tell stories about their lives as children; bring little treats that they ate as children and share with the students and/or volunteer to teach the students a skill.
Interested persons can indicate their interest by calling the numbers: 469-4111 or 660-2332.
