(Basseterre, St. Kitts – 24th November)- LIME Xtreme Generation, celebrated a successful launch of their Jouvert Troupe on Saturday 23rd November at the popular Tony’s Liquor Centre on Wigley Ave. The event got off to an energetic start at about 5.30 p.m. with Ronnie Rascal High Power Asylum Sound System belting out the latest local releases for Sugar Mas 42.
Crowds of Xtreme Jourvert revelers arrived very early to take full advantage of the specially discounted price of $60.00 which was specially created for the ‘early birds’ signing up on Launch Day. “Over 275 packages were quickly snapped up,” said Ronnie Rascal, the mastermind behind this jouvert troupe which has been in existence for some twelve years. He added that he was very thankful for the support over the years and promised the fans that they will again be in for a treat of an early morning experience like no other, come Jouvert Morning, Thursday December 26th. Revellers are promised a Pre-Jouvert Party from midnight, street jamming for hours on end to a powerfully upgraded sound system that cannot be beaten. As in previous years, the Jouvert Morning experience will culminate with the much talked about WET DOWN, a major highlight of Sugar Mas Jouvert.
From Monday November 25th, Jouvert packages will be going for $75.00 and can be purchased from Tony’s Liquor Centre then on Fort Street from Monday December 2nd.
