Basseterre, St. Kitts: Thursday17th April, 2014: As many prepare to celebrate and observe the religious and cultural significance of Easter this coming weekend; LIME has partnered with local kite-maker extra-ordinary Mr.Curvis Jeffers to keep one of the more notable Easter Traditions alive.
Over some 100 kites were made during these sessions; with end product being donated to students at the Beach Allen and Tucker Clarke Primary Schools respectively; as well as to children enrolled atthe Children’s Home and students at the Special Education Unit at the Cotton Thomas Comprehensive School. Of this partnership, General Manager Mr. David Lake is quoted as saying; “As a child I recall my days of going on the pasture to show-off and fly the kites that we made as a child, so we’re absolutely ecstatic to have been able to partner with Mr. Jeffers to keep this tradition alive.”
