Charlestown-Nevis-Local turtle conservationist, Lemuel Pemberton, will be one of the privileged few who will have close interactions with his Royal Highness Prince Harry, on his upcoming tour to the Caribbean.
Prince Harry is set to undergo a hectic schedule on an official visit to the Caribbean, on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, from November 20th to December 4th.
The trip will involve his visiting and being involved in official engagements in her Majesty’s realms where the Queen is sovereign. Additionally, he will also visit Guyana, which is member of the Commonwealth.
The other six countries on his schedule are: Antigua & Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada and Barbados.
After his first stop over in Antigua and Barbuda, Prince Harry’s next stop will be in St.Kitts and Nevis.
After overseeing official engagements in St.Kitts, Prince Harry will travel by boat to the Charlestown pier where he will receive an official welcome.
He will then be driven to a local turtle conservation site at Lovers’ beach.
Here, he will be taken on a guided tour by Mr. Lemuel Pemberton who started the Nevis turtle group in 2003 and who along with members of his group are dedicated to ensuring that sea turtles are protected for years to come.
When contacted, Pemberton was his usual humble self. He was just happy that the work of his local turtle group is receiving worldwide acclaim and vows to continue to do a good work in this regard.
