It must be considered a regional cricketing record of sorts as the Leewards Hurricanes completed an amazing victory over Jamaica Scorpions right in their backyard, within three days, with the first of which was entirely rained out!
Leewards opting to bat first on the second day of the match, were bowled out for a paltry 71. Shockingly, Jamaica was bowled out for a mere 56 on that same day.
Even more shockingly, the Leewards closed the day precariously placed on 31 for 5 with a slim lead of 46 runs.
The action continued on day three with the Leewards managing to get to 133 all out, led by a determined 45 by wicket keeper Jahmar Hamilton.
It meant that Jamaica only needed 149 runs to claim victory and amazingly were bowled out on that same day for 114, with the Leewards winning by an incredible 34 runs!
Jeremiah Louis of St. Kitts bagged 8 wickets in the match; Alzarri Joseph 7 and Gavin Tonge 5.
