Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 17, 2018 – Leader of the Opposition and Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher 6 (Newton Ground to Harris’) the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, will deliver the eulogy at Thursday’s funeral of the late Dwight Davis.
Davis, a Sergeant in the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force will be buried with full military honours in his home village of St. Paul’s.
The Service of Thanksgiving for Davis also known as “Jerry” and “Nuncie” begins at 2 p.m. at the St. Paul’s New Recreation Ground. Viewing of the body begins at 1 p.m. and burial will be in the nearby St. Paul’s Anglican Church Cemetery.
On May 3, police received a report of a body being found on a dirt road in the vicinity of the railway line in Dieppe Bay by two by-passers.
The lifeless body of 37-year-old Davis was found lying on the ground with gunshot wounds.
Three persons were held for questioning, but it was not immediately known if they are still in police custody.
A EC$50,000 reward for information that may lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the death of Sergeant Dwight Davis is being offered.
