Super star athlete from St. Kitts and Nevis, Kim Collins, who announced his retirement recently, paid a courtesy call on Minister of Sports in the Nevis Island Administration, Hon. Eric Evelyn, on Monday 19th March.

Collins was accompanied by his wife Paula and local track star Royston Queeley, who is a personal friend and who initiated the visit.

Minister Evelyn indicated that they had a fruitful discussion on the way forward for athletics in Nevis and noted that he was delighted to meet with the star athlete and his personal coach and wife.

‘I think this will be the start of great things to come with our athletes here on Nevis,’ he said.

He also hinted that the discussions also centered on the use of the new Mondo track facility at Long Point and stated that great things are expected in the future.

Collins for his part indicated that he was appreciative of the fact that the Minister took time out to meet with him and his entourage and stated that he believes that lots of positive results will come out of the visit.
