Jomelle Elliott off to participate in the Miss PJD2 Caribbean Queen Pageant

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – April 24, 2014 – Reigning Culturama Queen, to represent Nevis in the Miss PJD2 Caribbean Queen Pageant in St. Maarten.

Miss Culture 2013/2014 Jomelle Elliott will represent Nevis in the Miss PJD2 Caribbean Queen Pageant in St. Maarten over the upcoming weekend.

In a statement released earlier today the Honorable Mark Brantley, Deputy Premier and Minister of Culture said. “This Government committed that our pageant winners must be ambassadors for the island throughout the region and the world. I am pleased that we have kept the commitment and that our reigning Queen Ms Elliott is headed off yet again with our full support to represent our beautiful island”.

The Miss PJD2 Caribbean Queen Pageant has been hosted by PJD2 Radio Station for the past nineteen years and will be held as part of St. Maarten’s 2014 Carnival celebrations. The pageant will take place on Sunday April 27, 2014 at the St. Maarten Festival Village. The theme for this year’s pageant is: Confidence, Beauty and Respect and some 18 countries will be vying for the title of Miss PJD2 2014.

The Nevis Culturama Committee joins with the people of Nevis to wish Ms Elliott every success in the upcoming contest.
