(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- The man who was allegedly the last person to see 18 year old Chazere Davis of Taylors Pasture alive was released from the Alexandra Hospital earlier this week into police custody.
He was later charged on a warrant in the first instance for the offense of murder which was committed on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Maynard’s Ground, Gingerland, Nevis.
The suspect is 52 year old Jerome Kelvin Williams.
After the motionless body of Chazere was discovered by a family member, officers acted quickly and later found Williams at his residence in a semi-conscious state with what appeared to be self-inflicted wounds to his body. This was a result of him allegedly attempting to commit suicide.
An autopsy conducted on Davis’ body revealed that she died as a result of strangulation/pressure to the neck.
Hours after the unfortunate incident, William’s home was set on fire.
No one has been arrested for that act.
