The Americas male Netball tournament, hosted in St. Kitts and Nevis, climaxed on the evening of Wednesday, 18th September, with some exciting matches.
Defending champions, Jamaica continued their dominance by beating St. Vincent & the Grenadines with a scoreline of 75 to 28.
The most exciting match of the tournament was played on court one between England and Trinidad & Tobago.
The Trinbago team led by two goals with just over a minute remaining in the game, but the Englishmen remained resolute and scored two more crucial goals to tie up the score and with seconds remaining, the Trinbago goal shooter missed an attempt.
The final whistle saw the two teams amazingly tied on 44 goals each. The only tied game of the tournament.
In other matches played, the USA beat Antigua and Barbuda in the proverbial ‘clash of the ants’, with a score line of 58 to 37, and Jamaica beat St. Vincent & The Grenadines 75 to 28.
The St. Kitts-Nevis team went under to Grenada 52 to 22, much to the disappointment of the home fans.
