Ursula ‘Baby’ Arthurton Celebrates 90

Church Ground-Nevis- She was resplendent in her valentine type attire and looked calm composed and relaxed.

She certainly did not look anything like 90 years of age.

However, Thursday 21st June, saw Ms. Ursula BABY Arthurton of Church Ground, celebrate the significant milestone. It was however pointed out that her actual birthdate was the 18th of June.

On hand, to celebrate with her, were family members and representatives from the Seniors’ Division of the Social Services Department, led by Coordinator, Miss Trudy Prentice and also present, was the Minster of Social Development et al, Hon. Eric Evelyn and Deputy Director of the Social Services Department, Miss Joyce Moven.

Prayer and congratulatory remarks were offered by Miss Trudy Prentice and this was followed by the scripture reading, done by Miss Joyce Moven.

Several choruses of praise and thanksgiving were rendered by all present and then Minister Evelyn delivered brief remarks.

He noted that the celebrant certainly did not look ‘anything like 90.’ He thanked her for her contributions to the development of the Nevisian community and asked her to continue ‘to bat well and to complete the century.’

He then presented her with a fruit basket, complements of his Ministry and the City Drug store.

Everyone joined to sing the birthday song in honour of the celebrant and then she made her brief response.

She thanked God for allowing her to attain the milestone age and thanked all present for making her day really special.
