The action was at the Mondo track, on Friday 1st March, as the Ivor Walters Primary School, held its annual sports meet.
The meet was held under the distinguished patronage of former student and star athlete Kashka Forbes.
Kasha, remember, is the same athlete who went on to the Charlestown Secondary School and broke a longstanding record of some 35 years, previously held by Andy Liburd, in the 1500 meters event.
After an impressive march past, the athletes donned their tracks and competed fiercely in the 400; 200; 800; 1200 and 100 meters events.
Add to that the exciting relay races in the 4X100 and the 4X400 meters events.
A huge crowd was on hand, especially during the latter stages of the meet and they were extremely supportive of the athletes.
When the smoke cleared, the actual scores were not obtained but Green house emerged as champions on the big day; Gold house was in second place and Red had to settle for third spot.
