Basseterre, St. Kitts . The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force held a significant meeting on August 23, 2024, between the High Command and the rank and file of the organization to discuss the recent crime surge and the subsequent suspension of all leave, as well as to introduce the new Acting Force Personnel Officer, to the men and women of the Force.
The discussion focused on the urgent need to enhance our operational capacity in response to the current challenges we face in maintaining public safety and order. The suspension of leave is a necessary measure to ensure that we have the full complement of our force available to address the crime surge effectively.
During the meeting, officers from various units voiced their concerns and highlighted the challenges they are encountering on the ground. These concerns were carefully noted, and Commissioner of Police Mr James Sutton assured all officers that the High Command is fully aware of these issues and is actively working to address them.
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force remains committed to protecting and serving the citizens of our nation. We are confident that, with the continued dedication and cooperation of our officers, we will overcome the current challenges and restore peace and security in our communities.
We thank the public for their ongoing support and understanding as we navigate these challenging times. Together, we will work to ensure the safety and well-being of all.
