Charlestown, Nevis – A press release from Government House in St. Kitts, has indicated that Her Honour, Mrs. Hyleta Liburd, is currently acting as Governor General’s Deputy, for the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
The press release indicated that Governor General, Sir S W Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JP, will be absent from the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis ‘for a period of short duration’ and that Mrs. Liburd will, in her new capacity, ‘discharge the functions of the office of the Governor General, with effect from Monday 5th August, 2019.’
His Excellency administered to her, the oaths of office and allegiance on Friday 2nd August, at Government House in Nevis.
