Hector Demands Investigation on Expensive Trip by Nevis Premier and Wife

Charlestown, Nevis (Thursday, November 8, 2018) Leader of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP), Mr. Robelto Hector is demanding answers from the Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Mark Brantley regarding his most recent trip to Japan, where Brantley included his wife in the official St.Kitts- Nevis delegation party.

Mr. Robelto Hector, Leader of the NRP

Mr. Hector asked pertinent questions via his Face book page on the heels of Brantley’s published pictures of his wife sitting next to him, at what can be seen as a meeting between the Japanese government and St.Kitts- Nevis officials.

“Mr. Brantley is arrogantly publishing pictures of his wife sitting at his side in high level government meetings. The people of the country need to know more,” posted Mr. Hector on his Face book page.

In addition to the pictures posted by Brantley, the Premier also posted on social media: “In New York City watching my wife try dozens of dresses at Saks Fifth Ave.”

As a result of the post by Mr. Brantley, many nationals at home and abroad were outraged and responded on Face book, Whatsapp and Twitter with their disbelief at the Premier’s “out of touch” statement.  Hector also aware of the Premier’s social media post, decided to respond on his Face book page stating: “Brantley is on social media bragging about his wife’s shopping spree in New York, while poor people in Nevis are experiencing extreme economic and social challenges. The people of the country have a right to know who paid for this trip and the shopping spree.”

Finally, the newly elected President of the NRP, Mr. Hector stated recently, “I will be sending out a letter to Premier Brantley, on behalf of the NRP and the people of this country, demanding answers to these and other questions.  The NRP will also be demanding a full investigation into how and why the Hon. Brantley took his wife on this trip.  We will also document our concerns to both the Integrity Commission in Nevis and in St.Kitts.  This will all be done in an effort to have this matter investigated and reported back to the people of St.Kitts- Nevis.”
