Greetings from Abu Dhabi!!!
Today was our first full day of training for our two Triathletes, Robert and Ashton. We began our day with a great breakfast buffet, then stretching in the gym followed by a light 5K run. After a little rest and lunch we put on our National Cycling kits and hit the road to loosen up our legs!!! Huge shout out to the guys at Yas Cycles for helping with our bike adjustments!!! We were definitely rockin’ the National Colors in Abu Dhabi and looking the part of Federation Athletes!! Yesterday we did a light swim at Yaz Beach and can now say that we’ve swum in the Persian Gulf. It’s COLD!!! Tomorrow is “familiarization” at Yaz Marina for the swim and bike course and then the BIG DAY on Friday, March 8th, 10am local time for the SO World Games Triathlon Event!!! Wish us luck!!! We’ve already seen athletes from Tunisia, Morocco, Dominican Republic, Guatemala. Exciting!!!!
