(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- A handing over ceremony was held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Cotton Ginnery Mall in Charlestown by models of the Greene House Modeling Agency.
The short but impressive ceremony was chaired by Ms. Tanisha Hendrickson and the presentation of the cheque was done by Ms. Rhenique Leslie and Ms. Catherine Seabrookes.
The cheque was presented to Gean and Nigel Browne, the parents of Nigella Browne who recently lost her life in a tragic car accident.
On Sunday, May 18, 2014 a fashion show was held at Gateways Beach Bar in honor of Nigella, dubbed ‘We Love You’. A small but appreciative crowd turned out to the event to show their support.
This morning, the models of the Greene House Modeling Agency assembled at the Cotton Ginnery Mall and handed over a cheque to the family in the sum of $2756.00 E.C. and $60.00 E.C in cash. These are monies raised from the fashion show on Sunday.
The family used this opportunity to thank the general public for their generous support and contribution. The family wants to thank all persons who called, messaged, visited, gave encouraging words and contributed in this difficult time. They expressed special thanks to the members of the NRP party, Hon. Joseph Parry, Mr. Hensley Daniel, Hon. Carlisle Powell, Hon. Robelto Hector and Hon. Patrice Nisbett. They also expressed gratitude to the organizers of the fashion show and everyone else who made the event successful.
The father of Nigella stated in conclusion ‘We love and miss you Nigella. Let your soul now rest in peace. To God be the glory’.
