(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Police Officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force have recently arrested and charged a fourth person in relations to an armed robbery that occurred in Stoney Grove on Monday, October 6, 2014.
Shortly after the robbery police officers charged three individuals, Omar Walters, Germaine Wilkinson and Shariff Williams all of Cotton Ground for allegedly breaking into the dwelling house of St. Kitts-Nevis Defense Force reservist, Glendon Fordyce and burglarizing his home.
Fordyce was robbed of a quantity of gold jewelry and cash.
At the time Police Prosecutor, Inspector Stephen Hector argued that he was of the view that one or more of the applicants would interfere with the witness and as a result he objected to bail.
Her Honor, Magistrate Yasmine Clarke shared the same point of view. The trio was then remanded to prison after lawyers Chesley Hamilton and Mickia Mills failed to prove that their clients would have no contact with the victim, and that they would abide by the conditions of bail.
On December 24, 2014 police charged a fourth man for the October 6, 2014 house breaking and robbery. This time it was Javier Wilkinson also of Cotton Ground.
In court on Tuesday, Attorney Mickia Mills appeared before the court, making a bail application for Wilkinson.
Inspector Hector did not object to bail. However, he asked the court to set as one of the bail conditions that the applicant should in no way interfere with the victim. He also asked the court to impose a curfew; and for the applicant to report to the Cotton Ground Police Station.
Magistrate Clarke granted the application for bail in the sum of $25,000.00 with two (2) sureties. She also ordered that Wilkinson was to report to the Cotton Ground Police Station three days a week- Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
Nevispages understands that Omar Walters was later granted bail at the Charlestown High Court.
