Four Local Sports Stars Say Thanks To Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams

To a man and woman, they echoed similar sentiments, as they all took time out to thank Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams, for her wonderful initiative.

The four local sporting stars had effectively completed their course of study in Jamaica, thanks to an initiative, which was the brainchild of the then Junior Minister of Sports, Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams.

The foursome: Aljae Newton; Sianna Leader; Colin KEZRON Archibald and Kerisha Powell, all completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education and Sports

The four-year degree program was completed at the famous G.C Foster College in Jamaica, where they commenced their course of study in September of 2016.

The four young persons noted in a recent interview with NTV Sports page, that they worked as a team, while they studied in Jamaica.  They were especially helpful to Kezron Archibald, while he was absent from classes, on Leeward Islands Cricket duty and so he was still able to complete all of his courses.

Of course, the jury is out as to who was the best cook on campus, but that will remain one of those eternal debates.

Sianna intends to revive Netball on Nevis, with some assistance from Kerisha, who will focus on Female Football, also assisted by Sianna.

Aljae, who is a top footballer, will focus on uplifting the sport of Football, and Kezron, who will be in the CPL limelight for the next few weeks, will focus on Cricket.

Quite apart from thanking Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams, also thanked the current Minister of Sports, Hon. Eric Evelyn, who along with his hard-working staff, (with special mention of PS Glasgow; Asst. PS, D. Michelle Liburd, and Shelly Liburd), ensured that their course of study was safely navigated to its conclusion.

They also had high praise for the work done by the Director of Sports, Jamir Claxton.
