The third game in the Primary school Football tournament that was played on Wednesday 1st November, saw the VOJN Primary pitting skills versus the Maude Cross Prep school.
VOJN was intentional and aggressive for starters, pressuring the Maude Cross defence.
However, the young lady in goal stood firm and made some great saves
Then, against the run of play, the Maude Cross Prep silenced the VOJN supporters by bombing one home.
The half-time score was 1 goal to nil in favour of Maude Cross Prep.
Coach Skidda had a hard talk with his young guards and they came out with purpose in the second half.
Two corner kicks were taken in short order and both were tapped home much to the relief of the VOJN support crew
The final score was 2 goals to 1 in favour of VOJN
