The Sugar Boyz left the federation on Thursday, May 30th, en route to Costa Rica where they will play their first of two FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June 2024.
Coach Francisco Molina expressed confidence in his players and their preparations up to this point. He noted that the players and support staff are upbeat and have a positive attitude.
They will make a stop in Miami, where they will play a scrimmage game before heading to Costa Rica for a four-day camp.
Molina stated that the team has a lot of scope for selection, as they have a lot of competition and choices for the various positions.
Vice-captain Romaine Sawyers indicated that there is a new wave of talent in the team and that the coaching and support staff have been great.
The Sugar Boyz will play against Costa Rica on Thursday, June 6th at 10:30 pm. They will then return home to face off against the Bahamas on Tuesday, June 11th at 4 pm.
